MelOn
is an app where you can stream and download music, while helping your
favorite artist get on the top of the searched keywords as well as the top of
the charts and get recognized for awards
on weekly music shows! However, this app has been known to be exclusively for
Korean people only, but since iTunes don’t provide all Korean artists’ songs
and many of my friends were desperate to death to stream to their favorite
K-Pop artists, so i kinda want to help here.
1.
First of all, you have to go to
MelOn website (of course) it is www.melon.com.
Next you need to sign up, so you should click the “회원가입” button on the right
corner of the Log In box.

Click in the box next to “이용약관, 개인정부 수집 및 이용에 모두동의합니다.” And make sure all
the boxes are clicked/checked. Next, click on the green box says “다음단계”.

Third, you’ll find a registration form. Fill out the
form and click “다음단계” if
you have finished.

After that, click the bubble for “이메일 인증” and enter your
email address in the next section. If you’ve finished writing your email
address, click on box saying “인증번호 받기”. They (MelOn) will
send you a registration number through email, if the registration number doesn't appear in your inbox, then try to check your spam box.

When you received the email, enter the registration
number in the next box and click “인증하기” and
the system will check it. If the number wrong, the red notification will
appeared next to the button. In case that happens, double check the number. If
the green notification comes back, you can go on the next step.

Then decide whether you would like event mails from
the site or not. (that doesn’t matter tho in my opinion)

Next, enter the security code.

You will then approach this section, which is just
confirming your account. If everything is correct, you just have to click on
the “멜론 홈” and you’ll return
to MelOn Homepage.
** Despite
the main language that has been used in this app, i think this is the only app
that allows us to follow our favorite K-Pop artist tracks, songs and albums.
iTunes might be our main refference, but sometimes they (the artists) don’t
release the songs through iTunes and it confuses me about how i get to stream
their latest song. Apparently there are apps like MelOn, say, Naver, or Genie
but MelOn is the most famous and the most downloaded and/ or used by Korean
people, if it comes to music.

Yes, baby. I learn Korean too, through the drama series or tv shows. Oh, i have
my Korean class too. The teacher? Internet. Internet taught me everything
